We are over the moon to share that The Lost Bus has received an Academy Award nomination for ‘Best Visual Effects’.

Heartfelt congratulations to beloFX VFX Supervisor Russell Bowen, to our spectacular team, and to the other nominees: Production VFX Supervisor Charlie Noble, VFX Supervisor (ILM) David Zaretti and Special Effects Supervisor Brandon K. McLaughlin.

The Lost Bus is a special film with an important story, and it was a privilege to be involved from its earliest stages of production. We are very grateful to director Paul Greengrass and Charlie for their trust and vision, and to the Academy for recognising the care and effort that went into this movie.

This is belo’s first Oscar nomination since we launched just over four years ago. To arrive here in such a short space is an accomplishment in itself, but most importantly, it is a testament to the brilliant people we work with. Congratulations, team.

We’ll be crossing our fingers at the ceremony, happening on March 15th.
